“Cabo Espichel is a special place.
Situated in the west of Sesimbra, in the Setubal district it’s a beautiful place where the blue of the sky touches the blue of the sea.
It is one of the places I love the most in Portugal, ideal for relaxing and hear the crash of the waves against the cliff.
Here, history blends with nature.
The 15th century Church and Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora do Cabo is the central area of the visit,
but you can also appreciate the “Cruzeiro”, the “Hospedaria dos Peregrinos” and a ruined Hermitage.
You can also appreciate the beautiful Lighthouse.
The views are magnificent, the river mingles with the ocean, the green of Serra da Arrábida seems to touch the blue of the sky.
In Cabo Espichel there are various activities and tours, so don’t forget to :
* go scuba diving and see the sea life
* visit the natural caves
* take a boat trip to see the dolphins and the marine park Luiz Saldanha
* take the tour to see the dinosaur footprints at Pedra da Mua
* or simply inspire the beautiful nature around
Do not forget to visit Sesimbra, a few kilometers away and enjoy a sunset party by the beach shore.
Happy travel and enjoy Portugal !!”

SIBIU – SIGHISOARA REGION – ROMANIA

“When in Romania, you must not miss the Sibiu-Sighisoara region. One has so many things to do and see here! A perfectly kept medieval citadel in Sighisoara, a wonderful German-influenced town in Sibiu, that in medieval times used to be a destination for craftsmen that traveled to learn their trade, beautiful row houses with “eyes” on their roof, that follow you wherever you go, and amazing fortified churches!
Nestled between these beauties you’ll find “Castelul de Lut Valea Zanelor”, which translates to “Clay Castle Valley of the Fairies”. It’s a fairytale place, a natural building built by hand from cob, a mix of lumps of earth, sand, straw, and water. Its owner sold everything and moved out of Bucharest, feeling that he found here a place full of magic, and wanting to build a fairytale house, in total harmony with nature. And boy, did he do it!
“Castelul de Lut” was supposed to be a guest house, with a few rooms and a restaurant, but for now it’s only open to visits. The entry is only 5 ron (about 1 euro) and besides admiring the beautiful house and taking a million photos, you can also have a picnic here, besides the close-by river“.
